Amber Roman
Amber is a pragmatic leader with 20+ years’ experience that combines a well-rounded enterprise view of business, operations, and technology. She has worked extensively at an executive leadership level to drive organizational, operational, technological, and financial change.
Since 2021, she has been President and Founder of Sensata LLC, an Illinois-based advisory and consultancy. Her national clients are often small to medium-sized organizations that are at the scaling tipping point. She focuses on those that are mission-driven to change their communities and innovate.
She works with executives at these organizations to assess current state of operations, what the future vision is, what capabilities are needed, and then design a plan. Often, she leads the team in execution or remediates failing strategic initiatives stunting growth or the ability to scale. In addition, she tackles initial service/product design, designing and building pitch decks, pricing models, projections, fundraising, and designing a plan that will allow the executive team to build, buy, or broker capabilities to meet board requirements.
Prior to starting Sensata LLC, she started her entrepreneur path in the SaaS space while working in leadership roles at two management consulting firms. At one, she led establishing a new Chicago office focused on defining the go-to-market strategy, building sales pipeline, defining and implementing the local consulting practice and team. At the other, she designed and delivered in every part of the operations: service design, business development, sales, marketing, account management, client delivery, while mentoring consulting teams.
Her experience prior to consulting consisted of working directly with executive leaders on strategic initiatives as an internal consultant where her work spanned from defining software system design, data & analytics tools, financial operations systems and processes, network infrastructures, internal/external digital communication tools, digital sales and marketing processes, and human resources.
She spends her time between Chicago and Puerto Rico, finding time to volunteer and coach fellow entrepreneurs. She spends her free time in the arts, engaging deeper into her 25-year yoga practice, and traveling.
