Barbi Green
Barbi Green’s career has (thus far) unfolded in three phases or acts. In Act 1, she worked as a writer and editor for organizations like The Toronto Sun and AOL Canada. For Act 2, it was on to the world of large not-for-profits, first at UJA Federation of Greater Toronto where she served as the marketing director for their $400 million capital campaign, and later heading up new gifts and campaign communications for the Jewish United Fund (JUF) in Chicago. Act 3 drew Barbi to the intersection of technology and healthcare, first as the content marketing lead at IBM Watson Health Imaging (formerly Merge Healthcare) and now as the VP, brand and content at IMO Health, a clinical data intelligence company based in Rosemont, Illinois.
In each case, she has been drawn to opportunities that allow her to a) do good work for organizations that strive to improve and enrich people’s lives, and b) tell compelling stories that connect with audiences, entertain or inform, and influence decisions, big and small.
Barbi earned a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University, an Honors BA in Religious Studies from York University in Toronto, and a Journalism Diploma from Centennial College. In her spare time you can find her reveling in all things 80s pop culture, talking enthusiastically (and often) about all things Canadian, and marveling at her good fortune, sharing a beautiful life with her husband and two children.
