Jo Trahms

Jo Trahms joined Raymond James in 2024 as managing director in the Commercial & Industrial Services group, where she leads transactions in the energy transition services space.

Before joining Raymond James, Jo was a vice president at World Kinect Corporation (previously known as World Fuel Services; NYSE: WKC) where she was co-head of corporate development and led energy transition-related acquisitions and corporate venture capital investments. Prior to that, Jo was a senior banker at William Blair in both the U.S. and Europe, where she completed over 40 mergers and acquisitions, private capital raises and public offerings. Before her time in investment banking, Jo started her career at Target and held various direct investing and operational roles.

Jo holds a master of business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she graduated with concentrations in finance and entrepreneurship, and a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, where she majored in finance and minored in economics. She also spent a year at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown in Washington, DC, and a semester at Queen Mary, University of London in the UK.

Originally from a small town in Minnesota, Jo has been committed to entrepreneurship and community service throughout her lifetime. She is currently a board member for Friends of the Chicago River. Jo currently lives in Lincoln Park, along with her husband, son and tiny bernedoodle. In her free time, she loves to explore the city of Chicago and is a voracious reader.
