Joseph Serrone is a neurological surgeon that specializes in cerebrovascular disease at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, and the Hines VA Medical Center.

He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, where he also attended medical school. After medical school, he did his neurosurgical training at the University of Cincinnati and followed this with a fellowship in Helsinki, Finland, in 2014. He began his neurosurgery career at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. In spring 2017, he took the opportunity to return to the Midwest and enter an academic neurosurgery department at Loyola. Joe was involved with SVP in Seattle during his tenure there and looks forward to engagement with the Chicago community through SVP.
