Melissa Brandt
Melissa is Vice President of Population Health at Oak Street Health, a value-based primary care provider that specializes in helping older adults live healthier, fuller lives. Melissa oversees Social Work and Community Health Work programs across the organization, focusing on how social determinants affect health outcomes. Prior to this role, she held multiple leadership roles at Oak Street Health, including Vice President of MSO Field Operations and Director of Managed Care Operations, where she developed and led multidisciplinary teams, driving strategic initiatives across programs ranging from managed care and contracting to clinical programs and operations.
Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management and Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. While there, she was an active leader in multiple volunteer organizations, including youth outreach as part of Project ARK (AIDS, Resources, Knowledge), fundraising for Relay for Life, and serving as a legal advocate at the St. Louis County Domestic Violence Court. Her commitment to volunteerism and advocacy continued with later roles as a medical advocate with YWCA for victims of sexual assault and career mentor with the Give Something Back Foundation.
